The Pope -On Breastfeeding In Church

The pope wants everyone to stop freaking out about breastfeeding in church, according to a new translated video on Mic Media this week.

Why should anyone take issue with a woman and a baby acting holistically in their natural state? The fact is, this is how man evolved. Breast are, in essence, for feeding the child. For those who are constantly offended, the time might be now to loosen the heck up. Even the pope doesn’t care anymore!

By the way, breastfeeding is incredibly healthy for both mother and baby. While not every mother is able to breastfeed, we’d highly recommend those who are able to breastfeed to do just that! You and your baby’s ultimate health will thank you later in life!

This Vegetable May Target Cancer Cells Better Than Chemo

But don’t expect Pharmaceutical companies to fund any studies.

Cancer is the biggest public health burden of mankind today. It kills 7 million annually, not to mention stripping the livelihood, dignity and future health of survivors who have treated it with radiation and chemotherapy. Pharmaceutical companies don’t want alternative health to pose any impositions to their stronghold on cancer “treatment.” An insane amount of annual revenue chemotherapy and radiation produces is at stake.

But that hasn’t stopped the underground world of affordable alternative health from working towards the goal of cures and treatments anyways. And one such fascinating way is by using Parsley. Parsley, a typical meal garnish, contains an extremely powerful and promising molecule when it comes to targeting cancer cells. Apegenin, the molecule found in Parsley, shows a promising benefit for treating cancer (as well as inflammation. The molecule is also found in onions, oranges and chamomile tea. Apegenin is a naturally occurring plant flvone (4,5,7 -trihydroxyflavone). And it has been shown to be a strong anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-carcinogenic. It is now being termed “chemopreventative.” According to a review from the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, its the real deal.

Considerable attention has been devoted to identifying plant-derived dietary agents which could be developed as promising chemopreventives. One such agent is apigenin. A naturally occurring plant flavone (4′, 5, 7,-trihydroxyflavone) abundantly present in common fruits and vegetables including parsley, onions, oranges, tea, chamomile, wheat sprouts and some seasonings. Apigenin has been shown to possess remarkable anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-carcinogenic properties. In the last few years, significant progress has been made in studying the biological effects of apigenin at cellular and molecular levels. This review examines the cancer chemopreventive effects of apigenin in an organ-specificity format, evaluating its limitations and its considerable potential for development as a cancer chemopreventive agent. Now the question becomes, how would someone get a good amount of it into the body to reap some of these health benefits? Let’s be honest, no one wants to just eat parsley alone. For starters, you could just simply boil the parsley into water as if it were tea. You could add lemon after, drink it just like tea. Another way is juicing. I used to juice fruits and vegetables and add parsley in all the time.

Is it better than chemo? It would be difficult to say for sure seeing that virtually no big studies will ever likely be accomplished. Pharmaceutical companies fund too many studies for their own products, which react harshly against the body. Chemo targets both bad and GOOD cells and leave the patient in a state of dire weakness. The fact that we don’t look into what something like Apegenin is incredibly sad. The good thing is that the mainstream media is starting to have a louder voice. I found this Chron.com article touting this same idea. This is from August of 2013.

Those three veggies, essentials of the Mediterranean Diet, are loaded with apigenin, an inflammation fighter that kills cancer cells. These foods can boost cancer treatments (some studies show it makes paclitaxel, used to treat certain breast cancers, more effective) or prevent cancer (breast, colon, skin, thyroid and leukemia) in the first place.

Over two years old and we have not much more to show for it. That’s the big pharma stranglehold at work. And they are winning, at least until we put more pressure on new, alternative health studies.

It is Said This Fruit Is 10,000 Times Stronger Than Chemo

So why aren’t more people talking about it?

Alternatives to chemo therapy aren’t exactly popular talk these days. The chemo business is a robust, money-making machine. And the FDA has its back. Whenever any sort of alternative treatment arises, it is met with great criticism and public backlash. As is the case with the Graviola (also known as Soursop).

The Graviola is a tree found in the Amazon basin of South America. They can range from 15 to 30 feet in height and are well known in the area to be extremely nutrient dense. It appears from the exterior to be a watermelon with spikes on it. It has a soft and smooth flesh. But it is the tree bark and the leaves, when consumed, that are supposed to offer people incredible healing benefits. The natives of the amazon make tea with it. It is supposed to be an incredible immune system boost. A natural, viable healer to the human race.

The noted benefits:

Increased immune function

Antioxidant density

Lymph drainage

Better overall circulation

Soursop / Graviola is loaded with vitamin C and a handful of B vitamins, such as thiamin, riboflavin and niacin. It contains good amounts of calcium, phosphorus and a bit of iron. As an herbal remedy, it is given to help people with stomach issues, fevers, coughs and asthma. It is also believed to be antiviral.

Many people drink it daily as tea, or in canned products, as you can see below.

But its ability to kill cancer cells is what is being called into question by Government agencies. Soursop has been associated with many unsubstantiated claims, says Daniel Kellman, Clinical Director of Naturopathic Medicine at our hospital outside AtlantaAnd the rabbit hole goes even deeper. In two separate studies (here) and (here), this same Clinical Director pushed the idea that merely consuming the fruit could lead to Parkinson’s disease and potentially neurotoxicity.

A study published by the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry in 1997 suggested otherwise, though. When Graviola was tested on breast cancer cells in cultures, they were more effective than chemotherapy (source). But the data is considered to be unsubstantiated due to not having a Government backing. This was published on SFGate’s health section regarding the fruit and it’s effects on cancer.

Soursop’s acetogenins are the compounds that have been most studied, especially for their potential to prevent or slow the growth of cancer. The Cancer Center also says that some compounds in soursop may be naturally antiviral and antiparasitic, and may also suppress inflammation. (source)

So is Graviola a true natural healer that’s considered a rival to a booming chemotherapy industry? The dilemma here is, as always, the Government shuts out any experimentation which could legitimize such a science. Anything that challenges the Pharmaceutical industry is an enemy of the state. It’s an unfair shake for a fruit that clearly has some merit in the game. And this is the case with most alternative health treatments, unfortunately. Without being able to take part in real, unbiased studies, alternative concepts such as this have no chance to garner merit. We have to believe at this point that solutions exist outside of Chemotherapy treatments, which are harsh and destructive.
